Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil contains anti-inflammatory properties which help in reducing the swelling and redness of pimples. It can be used in different forms such as cream or gel and has the ability to fight bacterial infection, soften skin and reduce irritation. It is not to be directly applied to the skin but diluted and dabbed onto the affected part with cotton.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is known for its skin repairing and moisturizing nature. It soothes the skin around sore pimples and can even eradicate mild acne. Its anti-inflammatory agents prevent breakouts. Jojoba Oil can be used on a regular basis after taking a shower.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory moisturizer. After applying, it increases blood flow in the skin and kills the acne-causing bacteria. For immediate results, apply a layer overnight on the affected spot to heal it. Aloe vera is especially appropriate for people with dry skin. For acne-scarring, it is advised to apply thin layers of aloe vera gel regularly for at least a month.

Acnes are caused when tiny holes on the face become clogged with dust particles. Honey helps to extract dirt and debris from those blocked pores and clears the skin thus preventing acne breakouts. You can directly apply honey with a clean finger or cotton pad on the spot.

Garlic has been used to treat infections and to fight germs. Garlic consists of organosulfur compounds, which have natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. It can cause irritation when directly applied to the skin. Instead, it should be consumed in the form of food or drinks or to be chewed raw.

Green Tea

Green Tea is a supportive substance in treating acne breakouts. It is high in antioxidants that can help to reduce inflammation in the skin. It can either be consumed on a regular basis or a tea bag can be dabbed on the inflamed area after soaking in warm water for immediate results.

Additional Tips:-

  1. Stop touching your face over and over again. Squeezing, popping, and touching acne sores can be tempting but it aggravates the infection and worsens the situation.
  2. Exfoliate your face with a skin-fitting scrub regularly. If the dust and oil are removed in no time, the chances of acne flare-ups will be less.
  3. Use Oil-free Skincare products to avoid the accumulation of oil in the skin.
  4. Drinking an average of 2.7 liters of water a day (as per The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine) and staying hydrated is the key to opening the door to clear skin. It helps to flush toxic substances out of the body through peeing and keeps the skin glowing and healthy.
  5. Exercising regularly, having a balanced diet, limiting caffeine and alcohol consumption may also add to skin health.
